Wonder kid Maydaz’s date with destiny! Launches Gbedu album in grand style

Produced by More Blessing, the music captivates the current yahozee-type atmosphere of the contemporary era. Maydaz – real name Matthew Osiebe – has already started the recording of the video that is supposed to launch the album into a new vista.
Mathew told the African Voice that he is poised to take the album to the top of the charts – both in Nigeria and in the Diaspora. Matthew is not strange to the music world. He has been nominated by the Nigeria Award Arts (NAA) in the category of Upcoming Nigeria Artists, and he is billed to receive the award in August this year.
His journey to the top had been a hard and tiresome one. Eight years ago, at the age of 16 year old, MayDaz put his thoughts onto paper and started rapping, still with a strong dedication he managed to perfect his flow and soon became very skilled in the art of free-styling.
His music is a mixture of Afro/Hip-Hop/Club and a twist of lyrical concept to get the mind set into contemporary issues of the day. The young artist has already done a UK support act for 9ICE, Tony Tetula, Channel 0 (Stop the Spread segment) Club Ntyce nite of fashion, Yoruba Festival, Clarion Chukwurah Charity Campaign, Nigerian Carnival, and Blacknight Stunnaz week party’ Nigerian Independent. The list goes on.
He said: “Clarion Chukurah launched a charity for children in need and I was the supporting artist at the occasion. That event took place at planet Hollywood.” His long anticipated album titled “Gbedu Starter Vol 1” as well as his solo video, are likely to rivet him to another level. Things are about to change! The first promotional track titled “Swagga Po” has been on circulation and getting positive results.
Now MayDaz has embarked on his solo journey. Clearly he is destined for international greatness. From Lagos to London a star has emerged, with his swagger sense of thinking. Maydaz is currently in the studio putting finishing touches to his debut album while his official single titled, “Swagga Po” has been getting a lot of air plays on both African radio station as well as TV personnel’s.
