A 30-man team of Nigeria Super Eagles bound for the World up in South Africa arrives England in less than ten days to continue their training defore departing to South Africa according to reports.

The team and Manager Lars Lagerback would be sent off on May 20 at a gala night in Abuja and will leave the following day for England.

The venue for their training has been given as  the Five Lakes and Golf Country Club, Colchester Road, Tolleshunt Knights, Maidon, Essex.

However, it has been revealed that a provisional 30-man team list who are carrying the nation’s flag in  South Africa 2010 will be unveiled by Super Eagles Coach, Lars Lagerback on Monday.

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Ademola Olajire.Olajire said in a statement in Abuja over the weekend that  Lagerback was expected back in Abuja from Europe on Sunday and is expected to name the squad Monday evening at a news conference.

Olajire said the Eagles will play Saudi Arabia on May 25 in Austria and face Colombia May 30 in London.

Their final warm-up will be against North Korea on June 4 in South Africa. The final 23-man squad will be announced on May 31 in London for submission to FIFA on June 1.

Although the FIFA’s deadline for the submission of the provisional list of 30 players is May 11 while the final 23-man list was fixed for June 1, NFF officials had last Monday told the media that they would be submitting their list well ahead of the deadline.

Only a fortnight ago, Lagerback had released a 44-man list of players he wanted to be part of a parley planned for them in London. However, the get-together had to be shelved following the reluctance of foreign clubs to release their Nigerian players for the event.

So even without having any formal meeting with the players, the nation’s Sweden-born tactician will be culling the list down to 30. He is, however, expected to meet with members of the NFF’s Technical Committee before formally releasing the list to the media tomorrow.

Meanwhile, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), President Laurent Gbagbo of Cote d’Ivoire has conferred the country’s honour on the heads of football federations of the six African countries going to the World Cup in South Africa.
