Prophetess Shade Obimakinde-Adeniyi has every reason to be joyful having celebrated her 50th birthday anniversary recently in grand style.

The venue was Redeemed Church of Christ, (Cherubim and Seraphim), where friends, professional colleagues, men of God and different group of close associates gathered together in various colours and class to celebrate with a dedicated Church worker whose activities within the church had drawn so much admiration and love.

Beautiful Shade was at her best of mood and even when tears rolled down her cheeks as the celebration peaked she admitted it was tears of joy.

The lady of the Lord who holds the position of Mother In Israel, so radiant, happy and shinning admitted that she was shedding tears of joy considering her life adventures  which she considered very eventful with lot of humps and bumps:” I am not sad, neither do I have any regret as I am celebrating today. I am only shedding tears of joy looking back and thanking God for my destination today and counting my blessings, having gone through a lot in my life sojourn”

A fairly sober Shade murmured some words of appreciation to the Lord whom she claimed had been her rock as she journeyed through the world.

Glowing Shade as the celebration climaxed was sand-witched on the Church dancing floor by tens of colourfully dressed well-wishers many of whom had visited from America, Across Europe and from Nigeria.

She was ushered into the church hall in a triumphantly gaily style, with the Church Choir delivering songs of thanks to a worthy church ambassador whose dedication and passion had won her strong adoration from all in the Church

She was actually reeling in bowlful admiration with cuddles and kisses from all corners of the venue.

Her joy was boundless as she danced and danced away the day to express her joy and appreciation  unto the Lord.

In a short speech, Sis Shade as she is fondly called by all her admirers spoke extensively thanking all guests  for honouring her invitation.

Her special appreciation went to the Church clergy, Primate Greg Okanlawon whom she called her spiritual mentor of over two decades.” I am thanking my father in Christ for being there especially at those trying periods of my life history”, she expressed.

She thanked all the Church members for their support and asked for forgiveness from those whose toe she might have stepped on at one time or the other.

“Forgive me as I am not perfect. I love you all.”, she said

Her only regret:” I regret that my husband is not here with me,  though he is here in spirit. His presence could have made a difference as I am celebrating today. I miss Michael Adeniyi, my darling, confidant and  partner, who has made a big difference in my life”.

Delivering the sermon, Primate Okanlawon congratulated the celebrant and her family for a life full of events and spiritual activities.

“Don’t look today at the glitz and glamour associating with this celebration.

“Take a deep breath and look forward to the eternal celebration where there would be no one to lean on”, Primate Okanlawon advised.

The Church leader  said athat as a good Christian, the celebrant should take the occasion as a period of stock taking and make adjustment where necessary.

“It is a real joy to celebrate in this sort of grand style. Have you realised there is a real heavenly celebration that would assume no end.

Now is the time to make adjustments through a deeper dedication to God”, Primate Okanlawon urged.

He said the worldly celebration is only a temporary one, adding that a renewed faith  dedication and commitment to the cause of God  is the only ticket to eternal celebration.

Making references to the Bible, the Church leader said a life in the Lord is a life worth living as all worldly gains will result in vanity and would pass away.

Primate Okanlawon urged the celebrant to make the occasion the beginning of a new era of spiritual discovery adding:” The success of this celebration is the outcome of your kindness and care for others. Let that spirit of care and concern for God take total control of your life.

He thanked the celebrant for her loyalty and love for the church.
