Chief Alex Akinyele, the former Minister for information or communication has urged the banished DEJI of AKURE to commit suicide for having domestic dispute with his wife in a public show of shame and apparent loss of control of temper , which has been randomly condemmed.
My questions to Chief Akinyele are: Can the chief make public vow that he has never engaged in an argument with any of his wives before will it be therefore, be proportionate for people to de-robe him of his chieftancy title?
If men were God! and if God were to reacts to the follies of human beings by stricking them to death with every slightest mistake we are making will he Akinyele be alife today?
This is a man whose name cannot feature in any decent family newspaper, a social climber whose veracity had once been publicly denounced by the then late Gani Fawehimi when he ( Akinyele) claimed that he was a classmate of the learned chief.
A man whose crave for wealth and recognition know no honour and self respect and whose penchant for praise singing to achieve his aim knows no bounds.
Akinyele is prepared to worship at any shrine in other to see Babangida back into Aso Rock. He has refused to see what millions of Nigeria have seen and identified as the main link of Nigeria’s woes of today.
At all cost, Akinyele needs Babangida to retains his wealth status quo even if it requires the entire nation to go into oblivion to give way to Babangida. He has been know to acquire his status and wealth today through the licking of Babangida’s ass.
Akinyele is a pot calling a kettle black. and should therefore hands off fron the Ekiti Oba’s imbroglio.
Our fathers, advise that when a messenger is not trustworthy how can we trust the message?
Coming out of such messenger service- hood, Chief Akinyele is only a lonely voice in the desert of dignity and self pride loss.
If Chief Akinyele think that banishment is not enough punishment for the unruly Oba, l wonder why he Akinyele should think that suicide is the right resolve for the Oba or insisting on geting a pound of flesh at all cost.
An Oba that has been held incommunicado by his own people Chief Akinyele should realise that Akure or Yoruba people do not believe in fatwa,like Ayatola Khomeni of IRAN.
Therefore he is not in the position to voice out calling for the type of punishment that could be melted to the erring former paramount ruler.
It is only the king makers who can aportion the type of punishment they think is appropriate to any unruly Oba.
This practice was very common in the olden days.
In today’s world, the Oba like an ordinary person need counselors who will counsel him and possibly reconcile both the oba and the wife in dispute.
Our Chief is not remotely connected to this matter at all.
If God says, he is not interested in the death of a siner, who then, is Chief Akinyele of this world to decree that Deji Akure should commit suicide?
We have always heard of couples resolving and coming back together after many years of problem and separation.
Who knows whether this couple can still be the best of married couple in the near future?
Not very long ago from the same Ondo state, a prominent Oba was deposed from the his thrown because of political discord.
After a long period of time, he came back from his exlie and was restored. When things happens we must not rush to premature or irrational judgement.
Akinyele is known for his foggy statements.
He knows how to weep more than the bereaved. He appears to have been locked back to or warped back to hundred of years ago when such requested resort to resolve disgrace or dishonour was common.
Akinyele should go back home and learn the people have moved forward. Akureland has moved forward beyond his level and the peole understand they cannot soak their hands in the blood of the unruly and uncouth former Oba.

Why he is making such supreme demand in 21st century when the world has moved on is very difficult to comprehend.
Has Akinyele lost his head and now get entangled due to political goals, especially is there an undertone to serve his lord and master Babangida?
ASkinyele must bury his head in shame due to his insensitivity and low understanding of his own background.
His request is an over-flog and therefore is repellently hypocritical and demagogic in nature.
