Architect Ayo Adejumo loses mum at 88.
The death has been announced of Madam Josephina Oyeleye Adejumo (nee Ajayi). Mama Oyeleye was the mother of Oshun State Action Congress Coordinator, Architect Felix Ayoade Adejumo.
She died on Tuesday 29 of June 2010 after a brief illness.
She was 88 years of age.
Mama Oyeleye lived an eventful life as a frontline trader well known and appreciated by all around her locality in Obokun South Local government Council if Oshun State.
She was an exemplary mother and family builder.
Her death marked the end of an era in the history of The Ajayi Dynasty in Ibokun, Oshun State of Nigeria because she was the last descendant of Ajayi Ajifowowe (bi Oyinbo).
Ajifowowe was the son of Ajayi Abokoowu who himself descended from Prince Adeyemi Alowolodu of the present Oba Adeyemi the Alaafin of Oyo.
Mama was survived by many children and grand children among them the late Dr. Anthony Adewale, Adejumo, Architect Felix Ayoade Adejumo, Mr. Thomas Kehinde Adejumo and Mrs. Agnes Idowu Abe.
Grand-children are Dr. Adeyinka Adejumo, Mrs. Adebimpe Abatan, Mr Adesola Adejumo, Mr. Adetokunbo Adejumo, Miss Adejoke Adejumo, Mr. Adedoyin Adejumo and Mr Adetomiwa Adejumo. Mama was survived also by 5 great-grand children.
A press release from the family said funeral arrangement would be announced later.
