All roads this weekend leads to Finsbury Park, the North London venue of the third annual Nigerian Carnival where Nigerians in the Diaspora and all friends of Nigeria across the globe will converge to celebrate the official Nigeria Annual Entertainment Festival called Nigeria Carnival UK 2010 in a unique style.
Thousands will converge to celebrate the nation’s numerous attributes and cultural endowment in a two day carnival extravaganza.
The occasion will feature various side attractions with special feature including musical jamboree and movie showcase.
The Nigerian Carnival is an annual event created to demonstrate and educate the world about the immense cultural endowment of Nigeria as a nation in a genuine branding demonstration to the world. Organisers hope to use the platform to celebrate Nigerian music and movie, and to educate and enlighten the world about Nigeria.

It is an event organised to exhibit and showcase the cultural diversity and commercial vibrancy of the country, especially the world acclaimed Nigeria entertainment industry.
Kashif Jones-Laguda, Chairman and Founder of Nigerian Carnival UK told EMNnews that Nigerian community has been seriously disturbed about the recent tragedies of Gun crime and incessant killing of teenagers, especially across the South East of England
“We hope to use NCUK Cultural meeting to educate young British Nigerians and other Africans that we are well endowed in various ways of life, with rich cultural heritage traditional settings and that there was no need for them taking into violence”.
“This platform will take up the issues of gun and knife in and around UK, how it’s affecting our children, youth and the different communities in the United Kingdom. We hope to achieve this through an integrated showcasing of Nigerian culture and arts on a grand podium, supported by various organisations and celebrities, in an entertainment atmosphere, to be enjoyed by all”.
Mr Laguda’s carnivals in the past two years have taken on many youths, educating them in various African culture and settings, using them as leaders of people on the carnival days.
“The youth initiations have served as a major integrating forum for many youths across London who has impacted on their friends and family members positively. The event will mark a new cultural milestone in the history of Nigeria and indeed Africa.
