President Jonathan’s prays for Ikemba’s quick recovery in a personal letter
Nigeria president Goodluck Jonathan has sent a message of quick recovery to the ailing Former Biafra warlord, Dim Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, praying that the Igbo High Chief recovers quickly from his ailing condition.
In a letter sent through the Nigerian Embassy in London, Jonathan wished Chief Ojukwu a quick recovery on behalf of his family, the government and the Nigerian people as a whole.
He claimed he has been monitoring the Ex-rebel leader’s health progress ever since his transfer to a London Hospital for treatment.
“It is therefore a source of great relief for me to learn of the fact that you are getting better and very well on the way to recovery” the President said.
“It is my prayer that Almighty God not only grant you complete recuperation, but that he also endows you many more years of robust health, enduring strength and uncommon wisdom to enable you continue to avail our nation of your worthy endowments, especially at this critical period in Nigeria’s developmental history” , the letter contained.
“While looking forward to welcoming you home very soon, please accept as always the assurance of my highest esteem and warm personal regards” President Jonathan said in a personally signed note to the Ikemba.
Both APGA leadership and Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi have called for a national spiritual solitude, urging all Nigerians to pray for the former Biafra leader’s enhanced health as he laid on his hospital bed in London
He was transferred to an undisclosed Hospital about two week ago after he had stroke attack.
He has been widely reported as recovering fast by Nigeria Embassy source in London.
