Segun erinle promises more goodies for Ilejemeje as he wins primary election.
London Lawyer and Human rights activist, Mr Segun Erinle has won the primary election for Ilejemeje constituency in Ekiti State.
An avowed Action Congress Nigeria stalwart, he crossed the hurdle, flooring three other contestants in the constituency’s primary election
Mr Erinle has committed his course to serve the community for several years. Last year, he was living in the community for several months visiting local areas with medical supplies andservices. He paid personal visits to apply medication to people’s ailment and offering medical advises against abuse against the body.
Several communities were visited for medical supplies at various communities levels in the State.
He had always been viewed as a passionate community leader and carer by Ilejemeje community. He is a local activist of note who has embarked on several projects.
He launched a Health programme in London last year on behalf of Ilejemeje community of Ekiti state with many party faithfuls and close associates in attendance.
Last year, he visited Ilejemeje about five times from London supplying the local areas with social amenities and medical equipment.
He toured more than ten local government areas on a special test of diabetes and other ailments. He personally embarked on blood pressure test exercises and educating the locals on the need for controlled diet and advising on the dangers of smoking and over drinking.
“He has always been viewed as an exemplary leader who will impact on the community come after the next election”, Ade Oludeyi, one of his admirers told our reporter..
Reacting to his successful candidacy during a chat with London based EMNnews, Mr Erinle, also a Church activist and Church leader said he was not surprised that he won on merit and without much stress.
He won over other contestants hands down and hope to scale through to the state House of Assembly during the coming election.
A press release from his Ekiti State secretariat during the week reads:“Now that the first huddle has been crossed, l must thank all our supporters who supported us at the just concluded ACN primary election in the ilejemeje constituency for the Ekiti state house of Assembly.
The first hurdle is crossed as your candidate is now the official ACN candidate for the April 2011 election. Please let us continue our prayers and be assured that success shall be ours at the polls in April 2011”
