A 19-year old school dropout of the Agona District Assembly Junior High School at Agona Duota has been arrested for allegedly attempting to rape a teacher at her quarters. Phillip Acquah was arrested by some members of the watchdog committee who received a text message from the teacher when he tried to force her door open.

Nigeria: A new dawn as Jonathan Goodluck is sworn in as new President

Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan was on Sunday inaugurated at the Eagle Square, Abuja, the capital city.

At a colourful ceremony attended by 38 heads of governments, the Bayelsa State born politician who first became President after the death of the former President, Alhaji Umaru Musa Yar’Adua last year, promised to transform the country.
