Superior Evangelist Salu of CCC Edward Street Parish dies in London aged 78

Superior Evangelist FO Salu during a prayer session

Celestial Church of Christ is mourning the passing away of one of his greatest leaders, Superior Evangelist Fatai Olayiwola Salu, the Shepherd-IN –Charge of Celestial Church of Christ, Edward Street Parish who died on Saturday.

Superior Evangelist Salu is the Grand Patron of Celestial Christ of Christ, United Kingdom and Northern Island has acted in various capacities as peace makers and unity agent for Celestial Church of Christ World wide.

Papa Salu, as he is fondly called died peacefully on Saturday at the age of 78, at his residence in Catford, London South-East after a brief illness.

The spiritual leader has been a regular visitor  to the hospital, where he has been receiving treatment and was only discharged recently after a short admission to Greenwich Hospital in London South East.

His health condition for some time has been aggravated by his old age but his surprise recovery in recent times has allayed any serious fear of early departure.

A landmark celebration for his 79th birthday has already been put to plan by his numerous Church admirers, many of who was always seeing as his own children. He is much loved and adored due to his fatherly care for all and his passion for the progress of all who worshiped under his Shepherdship.

He is survived by three children.

Papa Salu, a former legal practitioner in Nigeria came to the United Kingdom in the Early 1970s and  has been a focus figure in the development of Celestial Church  in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Just as he arrived the in the UK, the departed spiritual leader  joined  hands with many faithful of the Church, among them the former Head of Overseas Diocese,  P H Ajose of the blessed memory to make sure the Church had a strong footing in the UK.

They succeeded.

Superior Evangelist Salu left a strong footmark as one of those who contributed immensely to the spiritual and administrative  enhancement of the Church, working tirelessly to make sure that CCC was stamped on Queens land .

He fought tirelessly for Unity and love and has acted in various capacities within the top echelon of the Church hierarchy to consolidate the existence and effective spiritual marching-on  of the Church.

He later led a group of other faithful to establish Edward street branch where he remained the Shepherd until the end after realising the Church needed another branch following the successful planting of the first Branch, which up till today serves as Overseas  Headquarters of Celestail Church of Christ.

Source claimed three registers have been opened for visitors who may wish to bid their last farewell.

The registers are located on Celestial Headquarters in Hatton Street, C Edward Street Parish and the family residence in Catford.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Whoever set up this site to give us information, details and pictures of our father in Christ Superior Evangelist Salu, I prayed Almighty God in His mercy to crown all your efforts with success. But what I would like to point out is that the bible says we should live and behave as if there is no tomorrow because we do not know the day nor the hour when our Lord Jesus Christ will come. The day of judgement is not disclosed to any human being. I am very surprise to see from the details, information and pictures on the entire site that it was not mention at any time that our father in Christ Superior Evangelist Salu was honoured by the Pastor (Pastor M Oshoffa) as Grand Patron of CELESTIAL CHURCH OF CHRIST UNITED KINGDON &NORTHERN ISLAND. Celestial Church of Christ is a Spiritual Church, so therefore, everything we do must be according to the word of God. Politics of I am of Paul and I of Apollo should not be practice. To Whom It May Concern should ask “Is Christ divided? (1 Corinthians 1:12-13). Please for Christ sake if you are giving out information online concerning our father in Christ Superior Evangelist Salu kindly give us true and full information not selected ones because whatever we sow we shall reap.
