Dead Nigerian Pastor to be buried in Nigeria as family wants body back

Pastor Samuel Oladapo Idowu

The departed leader of the Christ Apostolic Church, London District, Pastor Samuel Oladapo idowu who died early last month is to be taken to Nigeria for burial.

Pastor Idowu was the Chairman of Christ Apostolic Church, London District Coordinating Council and until his death was the head of Seven Sisters Headquarters of the Church.

Sources told EMNnews that the decision to bury him in Nigeria had been taken by the family while efforts are being made for the final transfer of his body  to Nigeria.

Pastor Idowu ( as he is fondly called), aged  56 years old died in his sleep on August 4 this year.

His early departure had sent shock waves across the district’s branch of CAC and beyond as he was said to be hail and hearty few days before his untimely death.

Few days before his death, he was said to have attended a special service of a Pastoral gathering  in another branch of CAC. On that Friday, he officiated by reading one of the service lessons and at the occasion, a source said the religious leader  was hale and hearty, happy and bubbly.

The following Sunday, the amiable pastor was said to have led the Church service as normal and was made to carry out certain humanitarian functions, resolving some personal issues concerning  church members.

He was said to have taken his visiting brother to the airport the following  Tuesday in the  afternoon and and later came back home to bed for  his usual long rest on arrival from the airport.

His loving wife, Lady Evangelist Kemi  Idowu who discovered his body hours after he went for his rest had thought his unusual long stay in bed  was caused by the weekend long schedule, not knowing that he had passed on while sleeping.

She visited him inside the bedroom to beckon him for his dinner when she realised his body was stiff an that he had passed on

A webside has been created in his honour while farewell  message books have been opened  on the website, and in the Church premises at Seven Sisters in North London.

An announcement by his wife, Evangelist Kemi on the website read: “With a deep sense of loss and thanks to the almighty God, we announce the death of Pastor Samuel Oladapo Idowu who went to be with his creator on the 4th of August 2011.

Pastor Idowu  was survived by five Children namely  Bukola, Busayo, Bolaji, Boyin and Bolu
