Brazilian football legend Socrates died early on Monday at the age of 57 after falling ill following a meal of beef stroganoff.

The Presidents action was seen as a right step taken considering the failure of the former Minister to make a positive impact since assuming the post as the nation’s Sports Minister.

Nigeria-born Belgian football club defender, Bobsam Elejiko collapsed and died while playing for Belgian side Merksem SC on Sunday when a rupture developed on his aorta. He had been widely reported as having met his untimely death while playing for his club side.
