Nigerians in the Diaspora are calling on the Federal government to retain its earlier position on the issue of Nigerians in the Diaspora voting in the next year’s election. The former INEC Chairman Maurice Iwu said late last year that arrangements were on for trial elections in about three countries across the world including United Kingdom and America in 2011.

There are speculations that not less than ten out the 18 recently executed foreigners in Libya are Nigerians as Nigerians in the Diaspora are calling for a major investigation to established how many Nigerians were executed recently in Libya.
In all, the executed 18 were believed to be foreign nationals from Egypt, Nigeria and Chad.

Last Sunday another spate of maltreatment was meted out to some Nigerians living in Warsaw, the capital city of Poland. This latest incident, like some past ones claimed the life of a Nigerian, while 32 other foreigners, mostly Nigerians were arrested.
Nigeria’s High Commissiner to the United kingdom, Alhaji Tafida has hinted that soon, the Embassy would embark of home visits services for the elderly and disabled.
